IMFA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and making integrative medicine accessible in Israel and worldwide.
This approach combines a medical protocol that simultaneously addresses the body, mind, and soul, viewing the individual as a holistic entity.
It focuses not only on the illness or injury but also on the person behind it.
Since June 2022, the organization has been operating the Medical Care Integrative Rehabilitation Center in Bat Yam, the first in Israel to implement an integrative medical protocol as part of every patient’s standard care. We provide our patients with a comprehensive integrative rehabilitation program that encompasses body, mind, and soul.
This program includes advanced medical rehabilitation rooted in cutting-edge conventional medicine, along with supportive integrative rehabilitation that addresses the emotional aspects of recovery.
Following the events of October 7, the need for trauma care, whether for those dealing with trauma accompanying physical injuries or emotional trauma without physical harm—has become even more urgent and clear.
Entire communities are currently experiencing trauma and are in need of treatment.
IMFA focuses on treating the trauma of reservist soldiers returning home with emotional wounds that must be addressed before they develop into PTSD. We offer 5-day trauma therapy retreats free of charge. The retreats measure trauma symptoms before and after participation, and we have observed significant improvements, with symptom reduction rates reaching hundreds of percentage points.
Through the Center for Resilience and Integrative Treatments, recognized by the Israeli Trauma Coalition, the organization also treats trauma in various populations, such as survivors of NOVA.
