That’s why we founded Medical Debt Forgiven in 2018. We started by partnering with healthcare providers and debt collectors to relieve unpaid medical debt through in-kind donations. While that model helped many, we recognized the need for a more immediate and scalable solution.
In response, we launched the Direct Assistance Debt Relief Program—a transformative approach that provides real-time, direct support to individuals overwhelmed by medical bills. Through donations via PayPal Giving Fund, Venmo, and Stripe, we negotiate directly with providers to forgive debt at the point of need.
Our mission is simple: relieve financial distress so people can focus on recovery—not medical debt.
