medicareplus is a Medicare supplemental insurance provider based in Orange County, Calif. Founded by Rob Ward, a health insurance specialist, who first entered the insurance industry in 2002 as an account executive responsible for bringing in new business clients that offered health insurance to their employees.
Rob's mom was new to Medicare, knew that he had insurance knowledge, and asked him to stop by the house to help her sort out her Medicare options.
Even as an insurance executive, Rob was overwhelmed by the endless stacks of mail, solicitations, options and forms.
Together, they got through it. And helping his mom navigate that Medicare maze is what led Rob to start medicareplus.
