The MCS (Medicinal Chemistry & Synthesis) group encompasses the Laboratory of Medicinal Chemistry (MedChemLab) and the Service of Synthesis of High Added Value Molecules (SIMChem), both integral parts of the Institute for Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (IQAC) within the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).
Our primary focus is on advancing chemical research to generate new knowledge and therapeutic technologies. We aim to enhance and optimize existing drug molecules while also pioneering novel therapeutic approaches.
We offer comprehensive synthetic and analytical services to companies and research organizations, supporting projects across chemistry, biology, biomedicine, and drug discovery.
We are accredited as a TECNIO Technology Developer Center.
