The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kelaniya is set in a beautiful campus in the quiet town of Ragama, a few miles north of Colombo. We provide a multi-faceted environment that delivers high quality education for those aspiring to join the medical and other health professions, as well for postgraduate students and trainees. Our staff members provide patient-oriented care through the university units at the Colombo North Teaching Hospital at Ragama, as well as a range of other diagnostic and therapeutic facilities that are directly run by the Faculty. Our academic staff members also engage in a range of basic, applied and clinical research activities, often with international collaboration and publication in high impact scientific journals. All of these contribute towards creating an extremely conducive learning environment for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the health professions.
