Melanin Markets was created to address the lack of representation and inclusion of Black People in the mainstream business sector. We are encouraging, promoting and celebrating Black Businesses to the wider Manchester community.
We purposely choose unorthodox spaces which are not usually inhabited by the Black Community, we are breaking through glass ceilings and smashing stereotypes.
We proudly stand by the Black Pound Day ethos of by increasing the visibility of Black businesses and highlighting the importance of spending Black, so we can facilitate change around socio-economic inequalities affecting Black communities.
