Meraki offers unique, safe spaces for young people to engage in the creative arts, enhance their learning, gain confidence and make friends without the usual financial confines that come with performing arts.
Launching in the summer of 2017, we offered free activity days throughout Leeds and Bradford. We focused on building relationship with communities to offer arts events for primary aged children to take part in during the school holidays. We are passionate about making the arts accessible and we offer theatre led events, drama workshops and crafting classes at discounted rates thanks to funding.
In 2018 we are looking to grow the business through community links and want to reach more children, particularly those from BME backgrounds.
We received Bradford West Community Chest funding in 2017.
