Merchants' Arena Overview

Merchants' Arena is a freelance consultant and brokerage in the CPG artisan food industry. Food is a passion of mine and I love being a part of the CPG specialty food industry. I'm motivated by connecting people and businesses to sustainable, conscientious, clean food and beverage producers/manufacturers. I’m a total foodie and believe food/beverage is where the creative innovation of our time is and I love being a part of it! I have over 9 years experience in sales, marketing and merchandising working within the CPG food/bev industry in various channels but primarily speciality. I have experience as a regional manager in the eastern territory as well as a national sales manager/and sales director. I now do freelance consultanting and freelance projects in the CPG food/bev industry. My experience in the CPG food industry has given me the opportunity to conduct key account management while maintaining on-going relationships with my clients which include grocery store owners, specialty stores, restaurateurs, hospitality professionals, and other professional clients. I have experience working with major and local food distributors (Dora’s Naturals, KeHe, Rainforest, UNFI, Foundation Brands). I have experience hiring, managing and motivating effective brokers, junior sales reps and brand ambassador teams. I have worked at all the major food trade shows FFS East/West, EXPO East/West and the Good Food Mercantile, NY Coffee EXPO, as well as other events (Toast Brooklyn) to help establish brand presence and to gain and maintain long term relationships with prospects and clients. My strong sales background (and yes I was born to be in sales) has given me a keen sense of prospecting and sourcing for leads from cold calling to networking. I possess a plethora of skills in various technologies including but not exclusive to: Mailchimp, Salesforce, Mailshake, Asana, Slack, HighRise, Zoho, Badger, Constant Contact, Planoly, Hootsuite, MindBody, Excel, Microsoft Suite
