The META foundation was founded in 2020 with the aim of advancing ARTISTS' careers, inspiring diverse AUDIENCES & instigating the creation of ARTWORKS. We do this through workshops and training, professional practise, studio provision, residency programmes and awards as well as the commissioning of artworks. In addition, we run all the programming at August House Artists' Studios. The studios contain upwards of 40 practising visual artists from around South Africa, the Continent and the world.
