Metiquity Ventures is a Calgary-based pre-seed venture fund here to solve a challenge for private investors and technology founders across the Prairies. We exist to fill the pre-seed investment gap which traditional venture capital isn't serving in our region’s emerging technology ecosystem. We unlock untapped potential for our innovative entrepreneurs on the cusp of growth, as well as the pioneering investors who advance those businesses, with meaningful capital. Founded in 2020, Metiquity is made of experienced investment managers and strategic early-stage growth capital investors and business founders with: *Over 45 years of experience in finance, investment management, private company investment analysis, research, strategic business planning, and corporate governance. *A successful track record of leading $43 million worth of investments into local early-stage technology companies & successful exits. We believe in transparency, alignment of interests, conviction, and purpose. We are investors first and use a disciplined investment process to evaluate investment potential. We use our operational expertise to encourage development of strong business fundamentals that allow founders to focus on stability and long-term value creation over short-term growth at all costs. Metiquity partners with companies in emerging innovation hubs in Alberta and Western Canada. We seek out founders who are creating long-term, systemic business value and are on the cusp of commercialization and significant growth, regardless of industry. We focus on early-stage investments where we can amplify the impact of our expertise and help partner companies accelerate growth by implementing the efficient use of systems, processes & a well-defined purpose. We make meaningful lead investments of $250,000 to $750,000 in up-and-coming companies using technology to digitally transform and fundamentally disrupt the way traditional industries operate.
