About Us: Founded on 21st November 2017 by Helen Knox, the UK's first Outreach Clinical Nurse Specialist in Contraception and Sexual Health - Midnight Learning Ltd brings together a variety of topics that are essential learning for those now working in this field - not just those directly related to contraception or sexually transmitted infections. This encompasses more. Helen is the author and publisher of Sexplained Books and owns the registered trademark/brand name, Sexplained®. Helen says: "The last "Sexplained Study Day" was a long time ago, close to Oxford Circus... and everyone had fun. Having just formed "Midnight Learning Ltd" with Justin Gaffney and with the support of colleagues who are considering leaving the NHS within a few months, too - all with oodles of experience and tons of knowledge behind them, we will be "Sharing Our Knowledge & Experience" in 2018. In 2018 we will be bringing back affordable conferences/study/networking days, in - initially - contraception & sexual health subjects. Prices won't be more than £55 per person - instead of £250-£500!! Our venues will initially be community centres, church halls, school gyms, and sports clubs - but could equally be barns on farms, with delegates sitting on bales of hay if we can keep delegate costs down that way! We want to bring back the enthusiasm for nursing in the interesting field of contraception and sexual health that's been drained from us by cuts and other excuses by 'pen pusher management' more interested in spreadsheets than people. Optional, additional, E-learning will support each event. CPD certificates will be issued after attendance - which can be used towards professional revalidation. And - - - All of our days will be endorsed and supported by GUNA (Genito-Urinary Nurses Association)."
