The Construction sector is the world's largest industrial employer but is mainly perceived as a male-dominated environment. Women have a role to play in the Construction Industry and can build successful careers and businesses within this sector.
However, it is not easy to work in this Industry in lieu of the various barriers to entry such as
• Gender-based discrimination against them;
• Harsh work environment of the construction site;
• Lack of sufficient knowledge about the Industry and
• Shortage of successful women in Construction as Mentors.
Through our informal and interactive workshops and conferences we create a safe environment and platform for women in the Construction & Engineering Industries to network, learn, educate, share, motivate and be mentored by experts in their respective fields in this Industry.
During our workshops women are confronted with practical, day to day challenges and problems on a typical Construction site related to all aspects of a project such as Tendering, Contract Management, Human Resources, Finances, Safety etc. They are equipped with practical, feasible solutions as well as a support and network system for future reference.
During our yearly conference we mainly focus on increasing a networking support system, motivational themes and having fun!
