A born and raised Calgarian, Mike Jamieson has called SE Calgary home his entire life—from Acadia to Cranston and McKenzie Towne. As a husband and father of two, he’s personally invested in building a thriving future for Ward 12 and the City of Calgary.
Mike brings a wealth of practical, hands-on experience from the front lines of business and construction. As a partner in Calibre Construction, he’s not just managed projects; he’s managed multi-million dollar budgets and delivered results for significant clients like the Calgary Police Service and the City of Calgary. From "signing the front of a cheque" to leading large teams of over 150 workers on critical infrastructure projects (with companies like Jacobs Engineering and Conoco Philips), Mike understands true fiscal accountability and operational excellence. His specialized education in Construction Health & Safety, Incident Investigation, and as a Journeyman Scaffolder and National Construction Safety Officer underpins his commitment to getting things done right and safely. This is the results-driven, no-nonsense approach he’ll bring to managing the city's nearly $5 Billion budget.
Mike is an active member of our community. He attends First Alliance Church, has volunteered with the Calgary Drop-In Centre, Operation Christmas Child, Community Clean Up, the Erma Fennel Foundation and is a former foster parent providing a loving and safe environment for three children for three years.
Mike has a track record of principled civic and political engagement. He has served on the Board of Directors for Minister Tanya Fir and was instrumental in Dr. Leslyn Lewis's impactful federal Conservative leadership campaign (where she won the popular vote). He’s also campaigned to help re-elect MPs Tom Kmiec and Jasraj Halan.
Mike Jamieson will bring proven leadership, fiscal discipline, and a fresh, common-sense perspective to City Hall for Ward 12.
