Milton Obote Foundation (MOF) popularly known as "the foundation" was formed in 1964 by Dr.Apollo Milton Obote and forty one other distinguished politicians,professionals and businessmen. At that time Uganda had just attained independence from Britain with Dr.Apollo Obote as the Executive Prime Minister.
The foundation was incorporated on May 8,1964 as a company limited by guarantee without shares.
The foundation envisions the people of Uganda experiencing reduced effects of ignorance ,poverty and disease.
The overall objective (mission) is to build capacity to promote national development for the realization of human dignity.
