UK based Sally Preisig is Mimics Productions Ltd! I design and create some of the most eye-catching, unusual, unique and high quality, professional character costumes, mascot costumes and promotional costumes, as well as character puppets, masks, maquettes and soft props. Since 1988 I have gained a wealth of experience and an excellent reputation designing and making. Everything is handmade entirely by me in the UK and totally custom made to your needs. Be it a straight forward garment, a human, insect, animal, robot mascot costume or something from the depths of your imagination, I can work to specific designs and fabricate it in 3D for you, or feed you with inspirational ideas drawn from years of expertise. I can work with existing designs, logos and ideas – you provide me with your brief.
I can design and create artwork with your full involvement, also discussing colours, fabrics, materials and even (if time) making mock-ups to fully understand your needs.
Alternatively I can be your inspiration; just present your idea and I’ll do the rest!
Once you are happy, I will set to work bringing your character costume, mascot costume, puppet, mask, maquette or prop to life.
I can usually turn around a single 3D mascot costume or character costume in 2-4 weeks, sometimes sooner – it all depends on what materials I need to use / source, to execute your design!
I can make ‘one-offs’ or multiples of a design, and offer a discounted rate for multiples of the same design when created in my workshop at the same time.
If your budget is restricted I will suggest various ways of getting the best from your mascot costume, character or prop – such as creating just the head, feet and hands or advising on alternative materials.
I also provide a REPAIR and cleaning service for costumes
