After 31 years of experience, Judy Powell, has had a variety of professional roles from Counselor to Program Director providing services to people with addiction in different treatment settings. She has developed innovative programs for women with addiction and mental health issues.
Judy has a special interest in providing a safe, supportive environment where people with addiction and trauma histories can begin their healing journeys which led to opening her own private practice.
Her specialties' included: providing grief support, domestic abuse education, anger management, trauma informed care, diagnostic chemical health evaluations, group counseling, mindfulness meditation, individual addiction counseling, providing services to diverse cultural backgrounds with the assistance of interpreters.
Judy supports all recovery pathways using an individualized, client centered approach the encompasses the body, mind and Spirit. She empowers the client to integrate recovery with their personal values, cultural background, and spiritual beliefs.
Holistic care often includes a valuable spiritual element. She has utilized 12 Step recovery principles, specifically the importance of connection with others. Healing does not happen in isolation.
Judy has applied Brené Brown's, world renowned a researcher, storyteller and Bestselling Authors teachings into her clinical practice.
