Conservation of our coastal communities is too important not to encourage all people of different races and backgrounds that are directly impacted by the health of our environment. Aquaculture is a rapidly growing industry that has become the focal point of sustainable seafood in local and global waterways. It is our goal to educate women of color on aquaculture’s sustainable and environmentally beneficial impacts on the environment. Through this outreach, we can grow the seafood industry, create an empowering space for all women, and encourage women of color to become passionate stewards of their environment through aquaculture.
