Our Mission:
Mississippi Votes Action Fund (MSVAF)aims to build on the ideas and possibilities of our democracy by advancing public policy that expands voting access and protects the integrity of Mississippi’s elections. MSVAF centers and trusts the voices and power of young Mississippians to co-create the reshaping of a democracy that works for the people who love and call Mississippi home. We do this through our innovative and high tech engagement programming and outreach strategies coupled with traditional organizing techniques to cater to the needs of today’s voters. We inevitably believe that our deep investment in Mississippi’s voters will cultivate a transformative culture of civic engagement beyond the ballot box.
Our Vision:
We envision a voter-friendly Mississippi — measured by increased voter registration and turnout (specifically within the 18-35 voting bloc), the removal of historic barriers to voting access, an educated and informed electorate, and the implementation of policies designed to lessen the burden of voting.
