The Jafferjee family has been transforming the art of leather products and the notion of luxury accessories since 1880s. From our pioneering great grandfather Mr. Hassan Ali to his grandson Arshad Ali and now great grandson Murtaza Hassan Ali, within m jafferjees lies the journey distilled from a 130 years of craftsmanship - a legacy drawn from a visionary father and his son. With their exceptional handcrafted techniques and vision, this generation’s duo amalgamate class with style without ever losing the core principles of fashion and functionality. They express two different styles : one classic rooted in the values of tradition and one modern with an eye towards innovation and the future. Combining the two they create wearable art with leather Born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, Murtaza Jafferjees did his schooling in Karachi, Switzerland and finally graduated from USA completing his Masters in finance. He returned back to Pakistan to join his family business. He was the first individual of the 6th generation to enter a business which was waiting for a drastic change. In 2008, he joined Jafferjees and in 2011 became a director of the board and handled the creative side of the business. He was responsible for the design of major product lines and re- formed the logo and the overall image of the company. During Ali’s eight years at Jafferjees, the company’s image took a turn for the better! Within a short period Jafferjees also managed to go national. He pioneered four fashion shows at Fashion Pakistan Week making Jafferjees one of the most recognized luxury leather brands in Pakistan. In 2016, MJ's father an individual who has had the most extensive experience in the leather industry in Pakistan and has been with this name for over 40 years, announced the creation of Murtaza Jafferjees (m jafferjees) a brand which focuses on transforming the art of leather designs for men and women alike.
