Productivity leaps in construction will be possible when industrialization encompasses the entire value chain. Prefabrication is the most sensible and scalable way to achieve this. However, this brings new challenges that have not yet been resolved. Due to the existing planning and construction processes, both sides are too far apart. MOD is a machine learning-powered platform that connects developers, architects and planners with the prefabrication capacities of manufacturers available on the market. We make prefabrication supply chains more efficient, scalable, and sustainable. Major parts of our platform are available as open source to enable open collaboration between those involved in the construction process. MOD is deeply integrated into design and planning processes and design tools and can assess a project's prefabrication potential at any stage without any obligation or commitment to a specific system or supplier. It is based on the available production capacities of the relevant suppliers for a project in real-time. We provide suppliers of prefabricated components, elements, and modules with earlier access to projects. The assessment of prefabrication potential is exclusively parametric and does not require detailed product data from manufacturers. Companies that have prefabrication capacities will be able to better utilize them, considering the fluctuating demand in a project-based supply chain. Innovative solutions from smaller, specialized suppliers that previously struggled with market access can now be easily integrated into projects for mutual benefit.
