Our mission
The Monaco Ocean Protection Challenge is an international business plan pitching competition showcasing new business concepts and business models with a measurable positive environmental impact on the ocean.
Created in 2018, the Challenge is the concrete outcome of a common vision by the four organizing institutions:
"The necessity to raise awareness on threats to our oceans, by fostering young peoples’ entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and enthusiastic commitment to conserve our planet".
The competition is open to students in different fields from around the world, as well as to entrepreneurs who had set up their businesses in the past 2 years.

- Acting together: the MOPC networks with partner organizations worldwide, closely collaborates with leading researchers, and continuously consults with policy makers;
- Multifaceted approach: MOPC maintains research and conservation projects, runs environmental awareness campaigns and is active within international bodies;
- Promoting responsibility: MOPC encourages individuals to act responsibly, advises students on ocean-related issues and raises public awareness about marine conservation.
