MopHead Productions Overview

Mission: We want to add to the theatrical landscape in a way that is reflective, engaging and thought-provoking. We aim to collaborate with theatre practitioners with new and relevant voices. We seek to explore new forms, new narratives and new theatre-making practices. Us 'MOPsters' were founded in 2013, although we're not all shiny and new. Some of the key creatives brought to life, "References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot" (Griffin Independent, 2009). The show garnered critical acclaim in Sydney. In 2013, we staged the Sydney premiere of "4000 Miles" at ATYP Under the Wharf. The success of the production saw it travel to Brisbane in 2014 for La Boite Indie and then a subsequent National Tour in 2016. Further productions include: Sam Shepard's "The God of Hell" directed by Rodney Fisher AM; Chekhov's classic "Patonov" for ATYP; "The House of Ramon Iglesia" (Australian Premiere); "The Bitter Tears of Petra Von Kant" (Australian Premiere); Tony Award-winning "The Humans" (Australian Premiere).
