Morbid Eye Pictures werd eind jaren negentig opgericht door producer / regisseur Marc van Fucht . Hoewel de naam horror-achtige associaties oproept, is het omgekeerde eigenlijk het geval. De naam Morbid Eye is slang voor ' het oog van een roofdier '.
In de jaren 90 was Morbid Eye Pictures slechts ' zomaar een' productie bedrijf met een focus op corporate film , commercials en televisie producties . Dit alles veranderde als gevolg van de zeer succesvolle Natural History documentaire ' Geven en nemen ' aan het begin van het nieuwe millennium . Deze documentaire kreeg internationale erkenning en werd meerdere malen bekroond , zelfs door de Verenigde Naties Environmental Program (UNEP) .
Eind 2006 zorgde de documentaire ' Schoffies ' (een lange documentaire over de Amsterdamse Reiger populatie) opnieuw voor een ommezwaai op het natuurfilm gebied. De combinatie natuur/stad/mens verpakt een humoristische jas zorgde voor een zeer succesvolle theater release en werd binnen de NTR als ‘kijkcijfer’ kanon voor televisie genoemd.
Onze Corporate Branch werd zo’n 10 jaar geleden gekozen door het Nederlandse denim label G-Star RAW om al hun AV diensten te verzorgen. Dit hield in, modeshow registraties, trainingen video’s, muziek video's, Retail video’s, franchise video’s, web store content, dvd-productie, internet-content, commercials, Podcasts en nog veel meer . Om deze immense diversiteit van AV- content voor alle continenten van de wereld te kunnen bedienen, leverde Morbid Eye een volledige in-house facilitaire afdeling aan G-Star variërend van HD-camera’s tot online facilitaire diensten voor het bewerken van de programma’s.
De unieke combinatie van deze twee takken is de reden Morbid Eye Pictures is uitgegroeid tot een zeer flexibel productie bedrijf met een enorme hoeveelheid internationale ervaring en een solide ‘down to earth’ aanpak.
