MORES is an EU-funded research and innovation project tackling challenges faced by liberal democracies today, including growing public detachment from politics and the increasing emotionalisation of political discourse.
These trends are tied to how we feel about politics, the government, and others in society. MORES investigates the role of moral emotions in politics and how they can both unite and divide society.
By understanding how emotions shape politics, MORES will create tools and resources that foster balanced emotional involvement in politics, encourage active civic participation, and improve policymaking.
