Why Mediation?
Mediation uses a trained neutral third-party professional to assist in resolving your dispute. Mediation is a convenient forum to settle “Divorce”, and other "Civil" disputes, in a non-adversarial friendly fashion. Mediation reduces “conflict” and can save the parties thousands of dollars.
The mediator is a trained seasoned professional who assists the parties in communicating with each other to achieve a mutual agreement. It is not the role of the Mediator to give legal advice. However, the Mediator from time-to-time might explain the law as it pertains to your matter, or bring in other professionals (i.e.: financial or psychological) to assist.
Attorney Glenn Milgraum is a trained “Divorce Mediator” and appears on the roster of court-approved “Civil" and "Family" mediators; having been educated, trained and qualified to provide services pursuant to New Jersey Rule 1:40. [New York has no equivalent requirement].
Mr. Milgraum maintains a "General Practice" litigation firm, located in New York and New Jersey. For more than 30 years, he has represented Plaintiffs and Defendants in all forms of disputes involving Matrimonial and Family Law, (Divorce, Custody, Visitation and Relocation), as well as Real Estate issues, Mortgage Fraud, Property Interests, Professional Malpractice, Corporate and Business disputes, and other general grievances. He has served as "Of Counsel" to several Law Firms.
Mr. Milgraum has been an “Educator” for more than 25 years having taught various courses for attorneys to satisfy their continuing education requirements; and instructing individuals in obtaining and maintaining their N.Y.S. Real Estate Salespersons and Brokers licenses.
He is a well-respected individual who has been elected to several “boards” in various positions. For two consecutive terms he was elected as an “Associate Tribune” (the judicial body) for an international organization consisting of over 350,000 attorneys and students.
