Movement, Mindfulness and Me was founded in 2016 to serve our local families in the form of a family focused program that offered movement and yoga based classes in an effort to share the values of stillness and self regulation through movement and through breath all within a fun filled challenging yoga class. In the fall of 2017, we were contacted by the Adult Enrichment Center and expanded to serve young adults and seniors from their program. Since that time our classes/program have grown and we now offer classes to share our programs with people of all ages and abilities, school groups, corporate trainings and more.
From new parents, young children (infants through elementary age), teens and young adults to those of any age seeking a supportive environment to explore movement and yoga experiences we are here to provide programming where the physical and social emotional benefits of yoga and mindfulness are explored with ease. Adapted classes, individual sessions and custom designed programs are also created (with excitement and understanding) for groups or individuals.
The desire of MM&M is to support an understanding of the benefits that yoga, movement and mindfulness can provide to the body and mind. With the onset of the Covid pandemic and all of the resulting changes, MMM has expanded to provide corporate trainings as well as group trainings for local schools with a focus on mental health awareness and coping skills via yoga and mindfulness.
We strive to develop a sense of community and bring families and groups together to unplug, educate and discover that movement and mindfulness can provide a place of grounding in our fast paced world.
