MRM Sport Capital (Pty) Ltd was created in 2023 by Mokgatle Reboetsoe Mokgatle, Ian Richard Briggs and Yussif Alhassan Chibsah in order to forge an innovative and international sport investment platform with a global developmental footprint. As a private equity firm, MRM Sport Capital has (as of even date) partnered with strategic affiliates and stakeholders in order to realise this vision through its three strategic business units:
a. Private Equity & Investment;
b. Development; and
c. Innovation.
The justification for the development of this firm was for investing with purpose in the most inspiring and fastest growing industry in the world. Sport is an incredibly dynamic industry. It is also one of the most fundamental needs of our society and is proving to be recession proof whilst providing wellness, and bringing inequivalent meaningful values with a positive impact on health, environment, education and social inclusion.
