MSU Space Cowboys is Mississippi State University’s nationally competitive high-powered rocketry team open to all students at MSU. Every year, our structures, payloads, simulations, propulsion, and business sub-teams work together to design, build, and launch a rocket at competitions, including the IREC Spaceport America Cup, the world’s largest intercollegiate rocket engineering conference and competition, where we were the 2015 champions. Throughout the year, we host technical workshops and encourage the next generation of rocketeers through community engagement. In addition to working interdepartmentally, we also partner with companies such as Aurora, a Boeing company, and The Advanced Composites Institute at MSU.
