MuSe – Marketing & Services

The Marketing and Services department consists of - the Chair for Marketing & Consumer Behavior (Prof. Dr. Claas Christian Germelmann) - the Chair for Marketing & Service Management (Prof. Dr. Nicola Bilstein) - the Chair for Marketing & Innovation (Prof. Dr. Daniel Baier) - the Chair for Marketing & Sport Management (Prof. Dr. Tim Ströbel) In ancient Greek, people believed that finding new ideas does not evolve through individual efforts but is influenced by nine different goddesses, the so called "muses". Each muse was known for one area of the existing sciences. As a result, the wording “muse” is still being used in the everyday language if someone is inspired by other people. The department MuSe (in German: Marketing Und SErvices) thus represents the acronym of the four marketing chairs at the University of Bayreuth and aims to inspire students and researchers alike.
