MuWave is a microwave technology company with a team with over 40 years experience designing and operating microwave systems on fusion devices. MuWave was founded in 2023 as a spinout from UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA).
We are engineering the next generation of high-power microwave systems from GHz to THz frequencies. One of our core goals is to de-risk and accelerate the commercialisation of fusion energy by offering solutions to microwave heating and current drive systems. MuWave will also target to solve the THz gap to unlock many other use cases for mm wave systems.
