My Discombobulated Brain aims to tackle the stigma associated with mental health head on, while offering a source of support and education to those who are affected by these issues.
My Discombobulated Brain came from an experience of what it was like to watch someone you love have mental health issues and the stigma they receive and are scared of, and then experiencing it personally.
Our constitution outlines all of the legal eagle information, however, our aims are simple:
* To support young people, their friends and families in their mental health conversation; to help them learn how to speak about how they feel and to provide tools to recognise and approach the topic of mental health
* To raise awareness about mental health issues, and to help society overcome the stigma attached to mental health
* To provide insight and GUIDANCE to public and private organisations on their approach to mental health
* To work with like minded people, charities and businesses to achieve these goals.
* We promise that we will ONLY use real people’s stories. We have made sure that the committee for My Discombobulated Brain has people that enrich and support the aims of the organisation.
