Our Doctors have found that using video consultation is an effective way of seeing patients. In addition we reduce administration and ensure secure payment on-line. You will only be charged for using My Doctor.co when a video consultation takes place.
My Doctor.co was founded by Dr Andy Jordan and Rory O’Riordan, MPSI. Andy is a well known Doctor in Ireland and is a Director of the Alliance of Family Doctors. Rory has many years of experience in healthcare. Both had followed the field of telemedicine and came to the conclusion that would work is connecting real Doctors to their patients. They realised that patients would only consult with anonymous web based Doctor services for a very limited conditions, if at all. In 2020 they set up My Dcotor.co. Of course, in 2020 with the Covid 19 pandemic it became even more important to provide alternative solutions to face to face appointments.
Following on from the launch of My Doctor.co it became very apparent that patients really wanted this service,. They wanted to be able to consult with their Doctor at a time that suited them and without having to attend a surgery. Research also showed that patients were reluctant to attend face to face appointments. This is one of our patient's testimonials, “I think it’s an amazing service/concept. My Doctor.co is also ideal in secondary care. For some specialities it may be useful for an initial consultation to decide a course of action. For other specialities it may be used alongside face to face appointments as part of a treatment plan.
