The Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) Specific Interest Group (SIG) is an official group that was founded in May 2001 through NAFSA: Association of International Educators. We are a group of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCV) who are connected to the field of international education in some way (though welcomed, NAFSA membership is not required for SIG membership). As friends of the Peace Corps, our goal is to encourage and support the three goals of the Peace Corps, which are helping the people of interested countries in meeting their needs for trained men and women, helping promote a better understanding of Americans on the part of the peoples served, and helping promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of all Americans.
