Established in 1994, the Naguru Teenage Center (NTC) stands as a pioneering adolescent health program in Uganda, providing Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH) services and information primarily to young people aged 10-24 years. The program was founded under Kampala City Council (KCC) Naguru Health Centre, as an adolescent clinic by a Swedish and Ugandan gynecologist and a group of Ugandan volunteers, including midwives and social workers. Over the 25 years of its existence, NTC has grown and evolved into a fully registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) specializing in the field of adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights (ASRHR).
NTC implements a youth-friendly responsive model of ASRHR services with the vision of "A society of young people empowered in adolescent sexual reproductive health and rights." Its mission is to advocate for and promote access to quality Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Services and information for young people.
