We are interested in developing multifunctional carbon based nanomaterials for its energy and environmental applications. We intend to develop materials using green and safe technologies and modify it's properties for various applications. We develop nanomaterials for fabricating electrodes for energy storage applications like supercapacitor, PEM fuel cell and battery applications. Here, we are applying the principle of charge storage on capacitive desalination and developing devices for flow through and flow between CDI setups. We are also into the development of photothermal materials for solar steam generation and use this for modifying solar still for water purification applications. Recently, we ventured into the area of photocatalysis were we study hydrogen evolution reactions. We are studying the effect of various heterostructured visible light photocatalyst on water splitting and hydrogen evolution reaction.
