- Investment structuring, specializing in blended/ innovative financing for social impact.
ABOUT ME:
I have 16 years of experience as an exited founder & CEO (2x), CFO (2x), and corporate finance professional with deep experience in the for-profit and non-profit social enterprise and impact investing sectors. I teach a class on impact investing at Columbia University.
I've founded two social enterprises. The second, The Accountkeepers, a tech-enabled accounting firm I launched in 2017, was acquired by venture-backed inDinero in 2019. The first, LIFT Investments, was a pioneering debt impact fund based in Kenya that operated from 2010-2015.
Between 2012 and 2017, I was the CFO of two companies: a non-profit commercial bakery in NYC (Hot Bread Kitchen) and a global impact investment fund based in San Francisco (MCE Social Capital). At MCE, I was responsible for raising $20-$25 million in debt capital annually from traditional and impact investors. I started my career in investment banking with UBS Investment Bank in mergers and acquisitions.
