The National Gambling Board (NGB) is an entity of the South African government under the auspices of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) based out of 1085 Francis Baard Street, Hatfield, Pretoria, Gauteng. The NGB is mandated by the National Gambling Act, 2004 (Act 7 of 2004) to conduct oversight of enforcement and compliance with gambling regulations, to undertake research into the gambling industry and to educate the public about the socio-economic impact of gambling.
