Navid Institute Overview

NIDI plays a pioneering role in transforming traditional ideas of charity and introducing the concept of Venture Philanthropy and Impact Investing to make a difference in Iranian local communities. We aim to fight poverty through impactful and smart grant-making in the areas of Education, Health and Livelihoods. NIDI’s aspiration is a more sustainable, accessible, and empowered future for vulnerable populations in Iran, in terms of access to education, quality of health care, and improved living standards. Our pioneering solution has three main elements including financial and non-financial support, and more importantly, measuring and managing the impact of the portfolio. We primarily target Social Purpose Organizations (SPOs) which are ranging from innovative social businesses to impactful nonprofit initiatives.
