We are a social group aimed at addressing the gap between education and empowerment, especially for young girls in underserved communities of India. We believe basic education alone is not enough for the upliftment of young underprivileged girls, who are brought up in communities that still believe marriage and not financial independence is the most integral part of a girl's life. Nav-tarang itself means, a new wave. Our organization, through its programs aims to bring a new wave of inspiration for young girls and provide them hand-holding through their path towards becoming independent both emotionally and financially. Our purpose is to challenge oppressive norms and conduct programs for young girls to increase their self-esteem and to build leadership in these girls to live a life of dignity.
