The Academy is located in beautiful West Arnhem Land on the Arnhem Land Stone Plateau (Kuwarddewardde). The students are taught from the Kuwarddewardde Malkno (Stone Plateau Seasons) cultural curriculum which is based on the local seasonal calendar and other traditional knowledge. The curriculum is taught during weekly trips on Country and consolidated throughout other key learning areas. We implement evidence-based teaching practices including a structured literacy approach and explicit instruction. The Academy has a strong focus on well-being for both staff and students.
