The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is a nationwide organization committed to advancing the success of women across all areas of the construction industry. Founded in 1953 by 16 trailblazing women in Fort Worth, Texas, NAWIC was created to provide support, connection, professional development, opportunity, and advocacy in a male-dominated field. It became a national organization in 1955 and has since grown to more than 120 chapters in 47 states and 5 international chapters.
NAWIC Charlotte was established in 1965 and is proud to be part of the South Atlantic Region, which includes chapters in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. We empower women in the Charlotte construction community through education, leadership development, and a strong local network of industry professionals.
