De Nederlandsche Elektrische Lakfabriek (N.E.L.F.) is in 1916 een van de eerste verffabrikanten van Nederland die elektriciteit gebruikt om verf te produceren. Al snel na de start ontwikkelt Nelf speciale coatings en beschermingsmiddelen voor de nautische sector. En niet zonder succes! De scheepvaarttak groeit en wordt het favoriete merk van een brede klantenkring in Nederland en ver daarbuiten. Sinds 2008 is onder de vlag van Nelf Marine Paints alle nautische kennis, kunde en capaciteit gebundeld om deze specialistische, internationale markt nog beter te bedienen.
