Nemanja Trifunovic Foundation was founded by the family members of the late Nemanja Trifunovic on 8 September 2022 on his birthday two years after his unexpected passing.
Nemanja Trifunovic was a modest, calm, and extremely bright person. He spent his time helping young people of all ages find their place in the rapidly evolving IT landscape. He started this while he was at university by sharing his knowledge and experience from international competitions (such as the International olympiad in Informatics (IOI) and Microsoft's Imagine Cup) with children in primary and secondary school by preparing them for national and international competitions in Informatics. His love for Informatic competitions was also demonstrated by his participation in the National Commit for Informatics Competitions. Once he finished the School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Belgrade in just three years, he became a director of the Belgrad office for Maxeler Technologies where he helped young people find their first job with a dedicated Internship program and flexible working schedule ideal for people who are starting their first job while still at university. He was also a co-founder of the Serbian Emerging Technology Alliance which focuses on helping new entrepreneurs find funding and market fit for their emerging technology.
Because of this, the foundation focuses on empowering and educating young individuals in Serbia who want to develop in the IT space. Concretely we have launched a program called Golden Fever with the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade which focuses on training high school students for the International Olympic in Informatics (IOI). In the future, we would love to empower even more young individuals by hosting summer and winter IT camps.
