A leader at the forefront of scar prevention, our unique patch technology — embrace® Active Scar Defense is a patented scar prevention solution. Proven to significantly decrease scarring in two randomized control studies, it's the only 510 (K) cleared medical device of its kind on the market backed by clinical data that minimizes scarring and fibrosis.
embrace® uses mechanical tension off-loading to minimize scarring and fibrosis. This proprietary, state-of-the-art, compression mechanism of action reduces inflammation, excessive fibrosis and collagen proliferation, which helps prevent scar tissue formation and aids in remodeling damaged tissue.
After successfully establishing our technology as a global standard of care for the prevention of scarring, we set our sights on microtrauma events. Skin integrity is critical by people with diabetes who currently experience ongoing skin microtrauma caused by continuous glucose monitors and continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion pumps as well as repeated injections.
