Network West supports Neighbourhood Houses and Community Centres in the Western region of metropolitan Melbourne. We do this through:
* Sharing information relevant to Neighbourhood Houses and community centres in the west through our monthly newsletter, our Facebook group and our LinkedIn page.
* Advocating with our members to raise the profile of the sector and ensure that our members have a voice in decisions that relate to the sector.
* Provide opportunities for skills development for staff, volunteers and Committee members to learn new skills, share their experiences and reflect critically on their practice through a six weekly Community of Practice, professional development forums or workshops, innovation bus tours and a bi annual expo.
* Fostering collaboration by supporting or facilitating Local Government Area network meetings, connecting members with common interests and initiating projects that support partnerships and collaborations.
* Providing individual support to Neighbourhood Houses in a range of ways, including support letters and personal support for staff and volunteers experiencing stress.
We aim to promote inclusive practice of community development in our region.
