AI-powered safer brain tumour surgery
Neurolase is developing an AI-powered real-time intraoperative imaging system designed to detect and analyse brain tumours during surgery. The product uses advanced artificial intelligence models to provide surgeons with instant, non-destructive, and highly accurate tumour boundary mapping directly in the operating room. This technology enhances surgical precision, improves patient safety, and increases survival rates by ensuring complete tumour removal while minimising damage to healthy tissue.
This system has already been used in 30 patients in our first in human trial. This was successful and shows the system is safe and effective. We are now developing the system further and launching a multi centre clinical trial in order to obtain further information for device development and FDA approval/ CE marking.
In the future, the system will be adaptable for use in detecting and mapping other types of cancers in the body, expanding its impact on oncology and surgical care globally.
