Our group’s vision is to alleviate the consequences of neurological-based functional decline through research and innovation within rehabilitation robotics, assistive technologies, and human-machine interfaces, within their clinical application and implication. Robotics and assistive technologies have a strong potential to help severely disabled individuals but face a paradox: The higher degree of disability, the higher the gain, but the harder it is to control the robots. It is our aim to provide solutions to resolve this paradox and to improve current rehabilitation schemes through robotics and assistive devices.
