The Chessington Community Food Project was started by Paul Cockle during the 2020 lockdown to help those in need in the south of the borough with food insecurity. It seeks to benefit both those who have struggled financially during lockdown and reduce the good food going to waste from supermarket disposal that has a negative impact on the environment. Alongside this, he also started the voluntary group and community movement that is Angels Of The Hood, which has become the life force of volunteering in the south of the borough.
