The vision of the New York Peace Project is to see a world where suffering is minimized or even eliminated; where people understand they are not broken and have the capacity to see their lives and their communities in completely new, vibrant, and healthy ways.
Our mission is to start conversations about peace and well-being with the purpose of directly impacting participating individuals, groups, organizations, and communities, beginning with the communities in and around New York City, and having that message spread.
Our values. We begin with listening deeply to people from the heart, being fully present and free from judgement, to bring out the best in people. We see people as whole and healthy; that within each human being resides the wisdom and understanding that can guide them in healthy ways through life. We see that within everyone is the power to change, the capacity to look within themselves to discover a vast and reliable source of resilience and inner peace.
Our process. We offer guided conversations, around essential questions, in a small group format to point people in the direction described above. Our sessions are generally 60-90 minutes and can be facilitated in person or via zoom. Following the introductory sessions, we offer a 10-session curriculum (60-90 minutes per session) designed to build upon each other and deepen the understanding of how we create our moment-to-moment reality, where our experience actually comes from, and how we can access our inner wisdom, well-being and peace of mind. To ensure continued exploration and understanding the New York Peace Project will be happy to work with interested administrators and staff of the various groups and organizations on an ongoing basis, where desired.
