NiuPiao is reinventing Asian entertainment ticketing through a seamless web and mobile platform that combines scalping prevention with a simple, beautiful interface. We won grand prize ($15,000) from the Williams Business Plan Challenge this Sunday, and we're currently in the midst of conversation with a venture capitalist who’s secured his past start-ups in the neighborhood of $4mn – $100mn.
So far, we’ve secured the top Mongolia pop-stars and entertainment companies (Bold Nominjin/Camerton, X-Tuts, and B Productions), which collectively sell 500,000 tickets a year to 350,000 fans for $16 million in ticket sales a year. Starting September we’ll be distributing all of their online/mobile tickets and expect at least $1mn from these partners alone. From there we intend to expand on to other Asian countries in addition to the US.
